Where is Menlo Park?

Menlo Park is in Southern San Mateo County, California; adjacent to the City of Palo Alto. We are approximately:

  • 30 miles South of downtown San Francisco
  • 20 miles North of downtown San Jose
  • 16 miles West of central Fremont

How do I get there?

FROM SAN FRANCISCO: US 101 South to the Willow Road exit, drive West, OR I-280 South to Sand Hill Road exit, drive East. (see below for directions from US 101 or I-280)

FROM SAN JOSE: US 101 North to Willow Road exit, drive West, OR
I-280 North to Sand Hill Road exit, drive East. (see below for directions from US 101 or I-280)

FROM FREMONT / I-880: Highway 84 West, over Dumbarton Bridge. Turn Left onto Willow Road. Drive approx. 3 miles West (over US 101) to Laurel Street.

From US 101: Use the Willow Road exit, Drive West (toward the hills) to Laurel Street (the first STOP SIGN), and turn right.

From I-280: Use Sand Hill Road exit, East (toward the Bay). Drive to Santa Cruz Ave., Turn left. Stay on right, drive to El Camino.

From Willow Road: Turn on Laurel Street, about 5 blocks. City Hall is on your left. Look for the red "POLICE" sign on your left at the parking lot entrance.

From El Camino Real: Turn onto Ravenswood Ave., Eastbound (toward the Bay). Cross the RxR tracks and you will see the Civic Center on your right. Laurel Street is the first traffic signal. Turn right. Look for the red "POLICE" sign at the parking lot entrance.

Our Civic Center and Police Station are just one block from all regional public transit stops.
